Job summary

Hope Haven in Spirit Lake, IA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with disabilities live fully. You will contribute to personal care, daily activities, and community participation in a supportive team environment.

Hours are 9:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, a $15,000 term life policy, a 403B with 8% match, flex spending, and PTO. This is a meaningful opportunity to impact lives daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Strong communication and basic computer skills.
• Must pass health assessment and background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in daily activities per the service plan.
• Assist with hygiene, bathing, toileting, escort, transitions and mealtime support.
• Teach self-control and self-management per training.
• Complete client logs and charts within 24 hours with supervisor approval.
• Support daily schedules and transportation arrangements as needed.
• Promote safety and follow all safety procedures.
