Job summary

Hope Haven seeks Direct Support Professionals to assist clients with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental health conditions. You will support individuals to meet physical, mental, emotional, and social needs and help them participate in daily activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, meals, transportation, documentation, and safety. Must have good communication, valid driver's license, and ability to pass required training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment
• Ability to complete medication administration course
• Valid Class C driver license required
• Clear background checks

Responsibilities

• Support clients based on individual goals and service plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living including hygiene and mealtime support.
• Teach self-control and self-management as trained.
• Complete client logs and charts within 24 hours with supervisor approval.
• Help clients follow a daily activities schedule.
• Arrange appointments and transportation; ensure required documentation is complete.
• Promote safety and follow procedures.
