Easterseals PORT Health seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with IDD complete daily living tasks in the home and community. This part-time role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, offering an hourly wage of $13.00 to $18.00 and opportunities for paid training.

You will assist with housekeeping, meals, personal care, and scheduling, and may transport clients to appointments. Documentation in the health record system is required daily, with flexible scheduling and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Experience with IDD support is not required but a caring attitude helps.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and in the community.
• Assist with everyday tasks: housekeeping, meals, personal care, and employment support.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize the client's schedule.
• Record daily notes and report in the electronic health system.
