Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide in-home and community-based care for individuals with IDD in North Carolina. You will assist with daily tasks, personal care, transportation, and scheduling while documenting care in the health system.

The role is part-time, PRN, on-site, with a pay of $15.00/hour. Training is provided, and opportunities for growth and professional development are available.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety knowledge.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability required.
• Proficient with EHR systems or quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community of the client.
• Assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning; personal care and diaper changes; employment support.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system.
