Job summary

WellLife Network in New York is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on care, advocacy, and lifestyle support for adults with developmental disabilities in homes and communities. You will assist with daily living, health and wellness, mobility, behavior support, and community engagement while documenting progress and collaborating with healthcare teams.

A high school diploma is required, and experience in behavioral health is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency diploma required.
• Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental or other behavioral health disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, meals, and home environment.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Support mobility, transfers, and safe navigation.
• Apply respectful behavioral and emotional support strategies.
• Plan and participate in recreational and social activities.
• Advocate for needs and access to services.
• Document daily notes and progress in electronic systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and therapists.
