Job summary

WellLife Network in New York is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for adults with developmental disabilities in homes and communities.

You’ll assist with daily living, health supports, transportation, and community engagement, while collaborating with healthcare teams and maintaining accurate records in our electronic systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License with at least 2 years of driving experience (required for driving positions).
• Comfort operating a large vehicle (for driving positions).
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals you support.
• Assist with daily living activities and building community connections.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, therapists, and team members for holistic care.
• Maintain accurate and timely records including daily notes and progress reports in electronic systems.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
