Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily activities, foster independence, and support meaningful choices.

You will work weekend and weekday shifts, provide personal care, help with meals, record progress, and advocate for rights in a trauma-informed program that values dignity and connection.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with experience.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and assist mobility.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care with dignity and independence.
• Assist with meals, promoting healthy choices and independence in the kitchen.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speech.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build confidence and self-esteem.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.
