Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide quality living support to adults with IDD in community settings. The role emphasizes person-centered planning, advocacy, and building meaningful connections with individuals served.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and provide physical assistance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality living support (physical, social, behavioral, career, and personal) to persons with IDD.
• Support community engagement and attend local events or walks in the park.
• Be a steady, communicative presence during family visits and milestones.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build confidence and self-esteem.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.
