Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide quality living support to adults with IDD in the community. You’ll assist with daily living, support participation in activities, and help individuals build independence.

This weekend role (Sat and Sun 9 AM–7 PM) requires a kind, dependable communicator who can build real connections, advocate for rights, and maintain clear records for continuous care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and assist people who use wheelchairs.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

• Support community engagement, including walks, events, and activities.
• Be a steady presence during family visits, milestones, or shared moments.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build confidence and self-esteem.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.
