Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help adults with developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives. You will provide personalized daily support, build trusted relationships, and promote choice with dignity and respect at Gallagher Services, a Catholic Charities program.

Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday, 9 AM to 9 PM, with responsibilities ranging from daily living assistance to community activities, meals, and records-keeping.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal care and daily living support.
• Clear communication and respectful interaction with participants.
• Ability to drive and assist with wheelchairs and mobility aids.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily routines (bathing, dressing, personal care) fostering independence.
• Help participants prepare meals and promote healthy eating.
• Support activities (outings, movies, church) and encourage engagement.
• Maintain accurate records to ensure continuity of care and respect for preferences.
