Job summary

Waypoint Maine, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support residents with intellectual and other disabilities across our programs in Maine. You will help members build skills, promote self-determination, and participate in meaningful daily activities in safe, respectful settings.

The DSP will work closely with the House Manager and team, follow care plans, and maintain accurate documentation while promoting dignity and independence within community-based residences and programs.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with individuals with complex disabilities.
• Excellent communication with members and families.
• Willingness to implement positive behavior support and structured activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapport with residents and build a safe, supportive relationship.
• Provide support during skills-building activities and daily living tasks.
• Implement individual treatment and positive support plans for members.
• Assist with meals, housekeeping, personal hygiene, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Ensure safety and confidentiality, follow licensing and Waypoint policies.
