Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Mount Airy, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Special Needs Caregiver to provide one-on-one support in the community. You’ll help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build confidence, independence, and social connections.

We offer flexible part-time shifts, weekly pay, and a competitive pay rate of $16.00 per hour, with a benefits package that includes medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k) with company match, life insurance, EAP,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social events.
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship.
• Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible.

What You'll Do as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Special Needs Caregiver:

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social events
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship
• Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
• Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible

Pay & Schedule

• $16.00/HR
• Weekly pay
