Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Asheville, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them gain independence and reach personal goals.

We offer a $500 sign-on bonus for Buncombe County and nearby counties, flexible part-time schedules, multiple shifts, and supportive benefits including health coverage, PTO, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to appointments and activities.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social events.
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship.
• Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible.

What You'll Do As A Direct Support Professional (DSP):

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social events
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship
• Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
• Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible

Pay & Schedule for Direct Support Professionals (DSP):

• Earn up to $18/hr
• Flexible part-time schedules
