Job summary

Dungarvin in Indiana is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and DSP Floats for full-time overnight and 2nd shift roles in Indianapolis or the Anderson & New Castle area.

As a DSP, you’ll provide direct support, guidance, and daily living assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring safety, dignity, and growth. Training and orientation are provided, with competitive wages and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Float position requires prior experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Experience with individuals with high behaviors is strongly preferred.

• Observant and detail oriented.

• Computer skills for documentation.
• 18 years or older.
• Successful clearance of a criminal background check for licensing requirement.

• Good communication is key in this role; you’ll document care and follow support plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance to persons served.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as mobility, dressing, bathing, and personal care.
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
• Attend community events and activities outside the home.
• Transport persons served to appointments or activities outside the home.
• Document progress, milestones, and action steps.
