Job summary

Dungarvin seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Float / Caregiver in Indiana to provide hands-on support to individuals with disabilities. This full-time role includes overnight and 2nd shift, with DSP wages at $15.75/hr and Float wages at $18.75–$20/hr.

Work may occur in Indianapolis or the Anderson & New Castle area. The job focuses on safety, daily living assistance, transportation, and documentation of progress.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to pass criminal background check.
• Valid driver's license required for transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals served.

• Prepare meals and document progress and milestones.
• Cross-train to work in multiple homes as a Float.

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) or DSP Float/ caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

Schedule: Full-time - Overnights and 2nd shift

DSP Wage: $15.75

Float Wage: $18.75 - $20/hr

• Good communication is key in this role. You'll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members.
