Job summary

Boone Supported Living, LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help adults with developmental disabilities live more independent, fulfilling lives across Mid-Missouri (Columbia, Jefferson City, Marshall and surrounding areas). Paid training provided; no experience required.

Earn up to $18.75 per hour with evenings and weekend shifts available and potential wage increases. As a DSP, you’ll offer individualized support based on each person’s goals, assist with daily living

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Reliable personal vehicle for client transport.
• Current automobile insurance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to pass Family Care Safety Registry and criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and community involvement.
• Encourage independence with compassionate support.
• Administer medications after training and according to agency policies.
• Document services provided and progress toward individual goals.
• Monitor health needs and report changes as needed.
• Follow individualized care plans.
• Safely transport individuals to appointments and activities.
• Complete required documentation and records accurately and on time.

What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll provide individualized support based on each person's unique goals and needs.

Responsibilities Include

• Assisting individuals with daily living activities and community involvement
• Encouraging independence while providing compassionate support
• Administering medications after training and according to agency policies
• Documenting services provided and progress toward individual goals
• Monitoring health needs and reporting changes when necessary
• Following individualized care plans
• Safely transporting individuals to appointments and community activities
• Completing required documentation, mileage logs, incident reports, and other records accurately and on time

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable personal vehicle available for client transportation
• Current automobile insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to pass the Family Care Safety Registry screening and criminal background check
