Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Residential Services team in New Jersey. You will support adults with IDD to navigate daily routines, develop life skills, and participate more fully in their communities in a full-time day shift.

Responsibilities include medication support, personal care, and documenting services while promoting independence and person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of Direct Support Professional experience.
• Medical case management experience.
• Valid New Jersey driver\'s license in good standing, with no more than five points.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support in residential group homes, supervised apartments, and supported living programs.
• Assist with personal care, meals, medication support, transportation, and daily living activities.
• Encourage development of practical skills, healthy habits, responsibility, and decision-making.
• Help individuals work toward individualized service plan objectives and acknowledge achievements.
