Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) with medical case management experience to join our Residential Services team in Toms River, NJ. This full-time day-shift role supports adults with developmental disabilities in residential settings, helping them grow daily living skills and pursue community participation.

Responsibilities include medication support, personal care, and documentation, with opportunities for career advancement within Residential

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Have at least one year of prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Have medical case management experience.
• Hold a valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing, with no more than five points.
• Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals in residential settings, group homes, supervised apartments, and supported living programs.
• Assist with personal care, meals, medication support, transportation, and daily living tasks.
• Encourage development of practical skills, healthy habits, and personal responsibility.
• Support individuals in achieving objectives in their individualized service plans.
