Job summary

The Arc Ocean County Chapter seeks an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist adults with IDD in residential settings. This full-time day shift role focuses on daily living skills, safety, and person-centered care.

You will provide direct support, help with personal care and medications, document progress, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team across Barnegat, Toms River, Lacey, Brick, and surrounding NJ locations.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have at least one year of DSP experience and medical case management exposure.
• Hold a valid New Jersey driver’s license with limited points and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals in residential settings, including group homes and supervised living.
• Assist with personal care, meals, transportation, and daily living activities.
• Encourage development of practical skills and personal responsibility.
• Document progress and communicate with supervisors to ensure continuity of care.
• Support participation in community activities and foster independence.
