Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings across Toms River, Barnegat, Lacey Township, and Brick Township. This full-time day-shift position emphasizes person-centered care, daily living skills, and community integration.

You will assist with personal care, meals, medication support, transportation, and household tasks while documenting progress and communicating

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a HS diploma or GED.
• Have at least one year of DSP experience and medical case management experience.
• Hold a valid NJ driver's license in good standing with up to 5 points.
• Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support in residential group homes, supervised apartments, and supported living programs.
• Assist with personal care, meals, medication support, transportation, and daily tasks.
• Encourage development of practical skills, healthy habits, and personal responsibility.
• Support individuals toward ISPs goals and acknowledge achievements.
