Job summary

Hope Network in Bay City, MI is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for 1st shift, full-time at Bay Valley House. You will support individuals to build independence, participate in community life, and develop daily living skills in a respectful, person-centered environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety 24/7, assisting with mobility and daily tasks, accompanying to appointments and community activities, documenting care, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Shift Full-Time / Part Time including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7; one-on-one or 15/30 minute checks.
• Assist with mobility and activities of daily living.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Establish collaborative relationships with individuals served and care team.
• Document care accurately and timely for medical and care plans.
• Help identify and participate in social and community activities.
