Job summary

Venture Community Services seeks a Direct Support Professional for a full-time role in a highly behavioral residential home in Massachusetts. The position emphasizes safety, daily care, supervision, and implementing ISP/behavior plans for individuals with disabilities.

It requires a male candidate with experience and a flexible schedule, with on-site responsibilities including documentation and overnight coverage.

Qualifications

21+ with reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals.
Employee must be able to speak, read, and write in fluent English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and individuals supported.

Responsibilities

Monitor individuals for health and safety.
Safely evacuate individuals from residence in the event of fire or disaster.
Physically assist individuals in transfer and carries.
Physically escort/restrain individuals during emergency situations or behavioral episodes.
Educate, supervise and monitor individual self-medication programs.
Educate and train individuals according to ISP and behavior plans.
Assist with medical appointments scheduling/transportation.
Maintain records and document daily data.
Overnight awake/asleep duty coverage as required.
Attend weekly staff meetings or mandatory training.
