Job summary

Spectrum Community Services is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to coordinate on-site active treatment in AFs or CLS homes. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, health and personal care, and community integration.

Based in Grand Rapids, MI, the position requires dedication to serving people with disabilities, with training provided including CPR/First Aid certification. Regular benefits and supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must provide two work references demonstrating good performance and attendance.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Must have reliable and ongoing transportation.
• Background check including fingerprinting, medical clearance (TB test, drug screen) and MILTC screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site active treatment in Adult Foster Care (AFS) or Community Living Services (CLS) homes.
• Assist clients with cooking, cleaning, health, and personal care; support daily living activities.
• Assist with community integration and overall well-being of individuals served.

About the role

Spectrum Community Services is hiring compassionate, honest, energetic Direct Support Professionals. This position is responsible for on-site coordination of active treatment in Adult Foster Care (AFS) or Community Living Services (CLS) homes or private residence, serving individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral disabilities. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to helping clients with cooking, cleaning, community integration, health, and personal care.

Experience working with people with disabilities (preferred but not required). We provide all required training including CPR/FA certification.
