Job summary

Spectrum Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Petoskey, MI. The role involves on-site coordination of active treatment in AFS/CLS homes or private residences, assisting individuals with disabilities with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, health and personal care.

Applicants should be 18+, able to provide two references, hold a Michigan Driver’s License with a good driving record, and be prepared for background checks and MILTC screening.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to provide two work references demonstrating good performance and attendance.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Must have reliable and ongoing transportation.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check including fingerprinting, medical clearance (TB test, drug screen & physical exam), and MILTC screening.

Responsibilities

About the role

Spectrum Community Services is hiring compassionate, honest, energetic Direct Support Professionals. This position is responsible for on-site coordination of active treatment in Adult Foster Care (AFS) or Community Living Services (CLS) homes or private residence, serving individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral disabilities. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to helping clients with cooking, cleaning, community integration, health, and personal care.

Experience working with people with disabilities (preferred but not required). We provide all required training including CPR/FA certification.
