Job summary

Spectrum Community Services in Byron Center, MI is seeking a Direct Support Professional to coordinate active treatment in AFs or CLS homes and in private residences, helping individuals with physical, cognitive, and behavioral disabilities with daily living activities, cooking, cleaning, and community integration.

You will participate in training, including CPR/FA, and must be at least 18, have a valid Michigan driver's license, reliable transportation, and pass comprehensive background checks

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Must have reliable and ongoing transportation.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check including fingerprinting, medical clearance (TB test, drug screen & physical exam), and MILTC screening.

Responsibilities

About the role

Spectrum Community Services is hiring compassionate, honest, energetic Direct Support Professionals. This position is responsible for on-site coordination of active treatment in Adult Foster Care (AFS) or Community Living Services (CLS) homes or private residence, serving individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral disabilities. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to helping clients with cooking, cleaning, community integration, health, and personal care.

Experience working with people with disabilities (preferred but not required). We provide all required training including CPR/FA certification.
