Job summary

Spectrum Community Services in Sparta, MI is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to coordinate active treatment in AF/CLS settings or private homes for individuals with disabilities.

The role involves assisting with daily living, meals, health, and personal care, supporting community integration, and completing required training. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must provide two work references demonstrating good performance and attendance.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Must have reliable and ongoing transportation.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check including fingerprinting, medical clearance (TB test, drug screen & physical exam), and MILTC screening.

About the role

Spectrum Community Services is hiring compassionate, honest, energetic Direct Support Professionals. This position is responsible for on-site coordination of active treatment in Adult Foster Care (AFS) or Community Living Services (CLS) homes or private residence, serving individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral disabilities. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to helping clients with cooking, cleaning, community integration, health, and personal care.

Experience working with people with disabilities (preferred but not required). We provide all required training including CPR/FA certification.
