Job summary

Resources for Human Development is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals for Mainstay Western PA in Gibsonia, PA. The role is part-time, with hourly wages of $18.25 to $20.75 and DailyPay available.

No experience required for many positions; paid training provided. As a Direct Support Professional you will support individuals in daily living, foster independence, document services, and maintain respectful relationships with families and team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (if required for the position).
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to successfully complete all onboarding requirements, including criminal background and driver's record checks.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
• Foster positive and respectful relationships while promoting independence, self-determination, and personal choice.
• Assist individuals in developing life skills and participating in social, recreational, and community activities.

Schedule

• Part-Time
• Flexible scheduling based on program needs
• Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required
• Residential setting serving adults with developmental disabilities and specialized support needs

Physical Requirements (If Applicable)

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals as needed
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
