Job summary

Resources for Human Development is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join the Resiliency Manor team in Philadelphia. As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build independence and participate in their communities.

This full-time 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) role offers $18.00 per hour, DailyPay, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer and internet skills.
• Ability to read, write, and complete required documentation in English.
• Ability to complete all required training, including CPR, First Aid, and other assigned training.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Previous experience in human services, intellectual/developmental disabilities, behavioral health, residential services, or direct care.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to individuals according to their Individual Support Plans and Behavioral Support Plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, household cleaning, shopping, and other daily needs.
• Encourage individuals to develop skills that promote greater independence and quality of life.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, community activities, day programs, family visits, and other activities as needed.
• Support individuals in developing relationships and becoming active members of their communities.
• Administer medications in accordance with program requirements and applicable training.
• Provide trauma-informed care and maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive residential environment.
• Monitor and respond appropriately to crisis situations while following established policies and procedures.
• Complete required documentation, including daily logs, medication records, goal documentation, incident reports, and other program records.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to ensure the needs and goals of each individual are met.

What You’ll Do
