Resources for Human Development (RHD) is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Bear, DE to provide direct care in a residential setting. You will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living tasks, mobility, meals, and community activities.

Formación

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification if not currently certified.
• Ability to pass: state and federal background checks, drug screening, pre-employment physical and PPD.

Responsabilidades

• Direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
• Supporting daily living skills and independence

Qualifications

Required

• Must be at least 20 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent

  • State and Federal criminal background checks
  • Drug screening
  • Pre-employment physical and PPD

Preferred

• Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, healthcare, or a related field
• Additional education in human services, healthcare, education, or a related discipline

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Thursday-Monday
• 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
• Weekend availability required
• No on-call responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals as needed
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
