Job summary

Easter Seals Tennessee seeks a compassionate Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with daily living tasks in our person-centered homes. You’ll help with meals, hygiene, and medications, while supporting clients in community activities and implementing therapeutic plans with clinical staff.

The role offers an $15/hour starting wage, tenure/pay scale, annual bonus potential, plus weekend shift premium and comprehensive benefits, including health, life and disability coverages.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community.
• DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
