Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help people with disabilities learn, work, and engage in their communities. Shifts include day, evening, weekend, and overnight slots with a starting wage of $15 per hour and a range of benefits.

DSPs provide daily living support, assist with meals, personal care, and medication administration, and collaborate with clinical staff to implement care plans.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and personal hygiene.
• Assist with medication administration and support community involvement.
• Work with clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans.

Shifts Available:

• PT Day shift - Mon & Tues 1PM-3PM, Wed 9 AM - 3 PM Thurs 9 AM - 11 AM
• Full time second shift
• Full time third shift
• Weekend Day Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9 AM - 9 PM and 9 PM - 9 AM

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
