Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help people with disabilities learn, work, and enjoy life in their communities. Based in our person-supported homes, DSPs provide caregiver support with daily activities and may assist with community involvement and therapy plans.

We offer weekend day and night shifts, competitive starting pay, a shift premium on weekends, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance and life/long-term disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene and medication administration.
• Support individuals in the community and at the person-supported home.
• Facilitate participation in therapeutic and behavioral plans with clinical staff.

We have a weekend day shift - Sat & Sun 6 AM - 6 PM and a night shift Sat & Sun 6 PM - 6 AM

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone's life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
