Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve independence and social inclusion within their communities.

You will assist with daily living, implement ISPs, provide companionship, monitor health and medications, and support transportation to appointments and outings while maintaining thorough care documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with transportation to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
