Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Service Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community-based settings. You will help clients achieve goals, maintain independence, and participate fully in their local communities.

The role involves daily living assistance, ISP implementation, transportation, documentation, and collaboration with caregivers. We value empathy, reliability, and a commitment to inclusive, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid certifications completed or to be completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Implement ISPs aligned with clients' goals.
• Provide companionship and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor health per guidelines.
• Transport clients to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain care documentation and follow behavioral support plans.

• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Required training certifications such as CPR and First Aid to be completed through approved providers.
