Job summary

The Supported Living Group is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support individuals pursuing independence in Connecticut. Positions are available as Full-Time or Part-Time roles in Avon and surrounding areas, requiring compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.

You will help with daily tasks, transportation to appointments, personal care, and skill-building activities that promote self-sufficiency. A valid driver's license and a commitment to teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Desire to improve quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and flexibility.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license, insurance and registration.
• Must be 18 years or older with a personal cell phone.
• High school education or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household chores and tasks.
• Provide transportation to appointments as needed.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily routines.
• Develop routines to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
• Teach life skills such as grocery shopping and budgeting.

Sunday 9am-5pm

Friday 8am-2pm

Saturday 10am-6pm
