Job summary

The Supported Living Group in Connecticut seeks a Direct Support Professional (Full-Time or Part-Time) to assist individuals with daily living activities, drive to appointments, help with personal hygiene, and support routines that promote independence and self-sufficiency.

You will also teach life skills such as grocery shopping and budgeting, communicate clearly, and collaborate with a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• A desire to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities is essential.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and flexible approach required.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household chores and everyday tasks to promote independence.
• Provide transportation to appointments and accompany individuals as needed.
• Assist with personal hygiene and develop routines for daily living.
• Teach life skills such as grocery shopping and budgeting.
