Job summary

Venture Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them stay active in their communities. The role includes assisting with daily tasks, transportation, and attending appointments.

Paid New Employee Orientation, CPR/First Aid, MAP, and other trainings are provided. A flexible schedule and a supportive team environment are offered in a community-based setting in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
• Varied interests and personal connections in the local community.
• Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to empower independence.
• Assist with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, personal care as needed.
• Accompany to medical appointments, banking, community activities; follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans.
