Friendship Community Care in Plainview, AR is seeking a part‑time Direct Support Professional to join an interdisciplinary team that provides quality services in home and community settings.

You will assist clients with daily living tasks, transportation, and documentation while supporting their Plan of Care and health goals. A valid Arkansas driver’s license, along with basic reading and arithmetic skills, are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 2+ years experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Basic arithmetic, compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Physical ability to regularly use hands, stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients with daily living skills such as showers, dressing, housekeeping, shopping, meals, and budgeting.
• Provides transportation to activities and appointments; valid Arkansas driver’s license required.
• Maintains communication via logbooks and meetings about clients’ needs and progress.
• Completes required documentation including reports, forms, and logs.
• Assists in following Plan of Care to ensure safety and health.
• Medication management guidelines and monitoring procedures.
