Job summary

Help at Home, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities, helping them live safely, independently, and with dignity. You’ll help build daily living skills and participate in community activities to support personal goals.

Starting pay ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires, paid training, health benefits, paid time off,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or completion of a state-approved training program.
• Competency and passing score on the required written competency test.
• Background checks and in-service training are required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, vehicle registration, and inspection.
• Ability to provide safe and respectful support in individuals’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a commitment to helping others.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow each individual’s Individual Support Plan.
• Report updates, progress, and concerns to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assist with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in shopping, social events, appointments, and other community activities.
• Support individuals as they work toward personal goals and greater independence.
• Promote personal choice, self-advocacy, dignity, and respect.
• Document services, activities, and progress accurately.
• Communicate with team members to provide consistent, high-quality support.
