Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC in North Carolina is seeking a Direct Support Mentor to supervise and train Direct Support Employees in residential and day settings. You will mentor staff, help implement Person-Centered Plans, and ensure quality of life for people supported.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of experience with IDD, a valid driver’s license, CPR and First Aid certifications, and willingness to work across shifts. A sleep-over rotation may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience working with IDD individuals.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance if driving is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications must be maintained.
• Background checks and pre-employment screenings required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Direct Support employees and provide training.
• Assist with staff scheduling and coverage.
• Support people in daily activities and personal care.
• Encourage personal outcomes and community participation.
• Report incidents of abuse or neglect immediately.
• Maintain home cleanliness and vehicle upkeep.
• Complete environmental assessments and maintenance requests.
