Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; direct care or human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with empathy and patience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; additional training in relevant areas is a plus.
• Commitment to compassionate care, dignity, and respect for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor care plans including assessments and treatment plans.
• Provide direct care such as daily living activities, medication administration, and transportation.
• Facilitate community outings and accompany appointments to support independence.
• Maintain records and incident reports, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and families to implement holistic care.
• Advocate for rights and self-advocacy; be a custodian and mandated reporter per policy.
