Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive growth by acquiring new business, cross-selling, and maintaining a strong book of customers. You will sell to local customers in person and by phone, leveraging community involvement to grow opportunities.

You will work with leadership on local sales and marketing initiatives, stay informed on products and underwriting, and deliver results that meet performance and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals
• Develop relationships within the community to support business growth
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations
