Job summary

Allstate, via National General, is looking for a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to grow the book of business by acquiring new customers and cross-selling to existing ones. The role involves selling to local customers in person and by phone, building trusted relationships, and expanding through community involvement and referrals.

You will stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and competitive markets while delivering results that meet performance and customer-experience standards.

Qualifications

• 0 - 2 years of experience
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations
