Job summary

National General Holdings Corp. is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive growth by generating new business, cross-selling existing customers, and building lasting relationships.

This role sells to local customers both in person and over the phone, while developing a strong book of business and engaging in outside marketing efforts. The position offers a base hourly rate and uncapped monthly incentives, with a focus on customer experience, compliance, and performance.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners).
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
