Job summary

Marrakech, Inc. seeks a Direct Care Staff (DSP) to support individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home. You’ll help residents live safely, foster independence, and honor personal choices.

Responsibilities include daily living assistance, medical support, following care plans, and promoting community involvement. Training is provided, and certification can be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• DDS Medication Certification, CPR and First Aid certifications preferred or obtainable.
• Clean driving record with a valid Connecticut Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills including personal care, meals, and routines.
• Support medical needs and appointments and follow plans.
• Encourage community involvement and social engagement.
• Complete overnight safety checks when scheduled.
• Work collaboratively within a compassionate care team.

About the Role

As a Direct Care Staff (DSP), you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. You’ll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
• Supporting medical needs and appointments
• Following individualized support and behavior plans
• Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
• Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
• Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

We’re seeking reliable, compassionate individuals who are motivated to make a difference.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid

Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful—but not required. We provide paid training to help you succeed.

Pay

• $19.28 per hour
• Additional $0.50 per hour with DDS Medication Certification
• Certification can be obtained after hire if not already certified
