Job summary

Phoenix & Folly is a new locally owned restaurant and bar serving elevated comfort food and cocktails. We’re hiring dinner cooks to work in a full kitchen with pizza oven, flat top, and dedicated prep space.

You’ll rotate across stations and learn the whole kitchen, not just one station. We’re looking for cooks who stay organized during a busy dinner rush, communicate with the line, and take pride in consistent, well-presented plates.

Qualifications

• Has previous line-cook experience in a full-service restaurant
• Can stay organized and composed during a busy dinner rush
• Understands timing and can coordinate multiple tickets and stations
• Moves quickly without getting careless
• Takes pride in consistency and presentation
• Communicates instead of silently letting the kitchen burn down around them
• Is dependable and shows up ready to work
• Wants to learn and is willing to cross-train

Responsibilities

• Execute menu items accurately, consistently, and with a sense of urgency
• Work line stations including flat top, pizza, oven, and assembly
• Prepare burgers, pizzas, shareables, sandwiches, proteins, and dinner dishes
• Set up and break down stations properly
• Maintain appropriate pars and communicate when something is running low
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and plating specifications
• Keep your station clean and organized throughout service
• Communicate with the rest of the line, expo, and FOH during service
• Follow food-safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with prep and other kitchen responsibilities as needed
