Job summary

The Delicatessen in Phoenix, AZ is seeking passionate Line Cooks to join our chef-driven kitchen. You will set up stations, prep, cook to exact specifications, and contribute to a fast-paced, high-energy service.

We value reliability, teamwork, and consistency. Prior line cook or prep cook experience is preferred, along with a Food Handler card. Growth opportunities and employee discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required, including line cook, prep cook, or restaurant kitchen experience.
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to follow direction and communicate effectively.
• Culinary school training is a plus, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Food Handler card.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies
• Prepare food for service including chopping, prepping, portioning, and sauce preparation
• Cook menu items to exact chef specifications
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs during service
• Ensure dishes are executed with speed, consistency, and quality
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts
• Properly store and rotate inventory
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with teammates and guests
