Job summary

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Dining Service Team Leader for the 12:00pm-8:30pm, Monday–Friday shift. You will supervise dining service workers, assign tasks, build schedules, forecast needs, maintain records, train staff, and ensure food quality and customer service across dining areas.

This essential role supports Selleck Dining Service and daily operations with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with three years of food preparation experience.
• Ability to read, write, weigh and measure.
• Must train and lead others; team player.
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks and responsibilities to staff to meet dining standards.
• Assist leadership to build schedules, plan menus, forecast and maintain records.
• Prepare and restock stations, operate cashiering and inventory.
• Provide training and monitor cost and waste controls.
• Deliver excellent customer service to dining center patrons.
