Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Quick Service Team Leader for Husker Heroes (3:30pm-12:00am, Sun-Thurs) to supervise a mobile order quick service concept in Abel Dining.

You will lead student workers and staff, ensure food quality and timely service, and train teams on recipes, production processes, and dining standards. This essential role may include weekend or evening shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus three years of food preparation experience
• Ability to read, write, weigh, and measure accurately
• Effective communication skills are essential
• Ability to train and lead others
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing Safety and Sanitation test

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and supervision in one of Abel Dining’s quick service concepts
• Ensure orders are accurate and prepared to high standards
• Assign daily tasks to student workers and staff on shift
• Oversee work in kitchen, dish room, and dining area
• Train student workers on recipes, production processes and standards
• Set up and close stations, manage food prep, restocking and inventory
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns as they arise
