Job summary

United Church Homes Chapel Hill Community is seeking a Dining Services Supervisor to assist the Director in delivering quality customer care in all dietary operations. You will supervise staff, monitor schedules, and ensure proper staffing and adherence to policies.

You will also assist in kitchen tasks, interact with residents on menus, use Tray Tracker software, and help manage the department's budget. This is an on-site role with regular on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related experience; supervisory experience helpful.
• Serve Safe training required; must obtain and maintain mandatory, state/federal requirements and certifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality customer care in all dietary operations.
• Supervise assigned staff and ensure policy adherence.
• Monitor dining staff schedules and proper staffing.
• Assist in kitchen tasks and stocking as needed.
• Interact with residents about menu preferences and dietary needs.
• Maintain the department budget and assist with staff appraisals.
